|AoFAQ are proud to announce the launch of our new half day AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) qualification.|
This is a half day course with 4 classroom hours. The course is aimed at learners who wish to gain the knowledge and skills to perform CPR and use an AED. This course compliments an Emergency First Aid at Work course as an additional qualification.
The qualification is regulated and is priced at 5.00 pounds plus VAT per certificate. AoFAQ have developed the following support material for this qualification and is available free of charge to AoFAQ Centres:
• Scheme of Work
• Qualification Spec
• Observation Matrix
This qualification differs from the full one day course by focusing on the First Aider in the use of the AED instead of the maintenance aspects which fall under the responsibility of the management.
AoFAQ are also pleased to announce that centres who already run the AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) will be automatically approved to train the new AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) qualification.
